Myspace Secrets - Your Profile Speaks

Ever heard the term - a picture speaks a thousand words.

Well! with myspace you can sure bet on this. It does give you much better responses and creates massive intrest in your account. It sure is the case when it comes to creating a profile that wows.

Normally profiles with a boring profile picture dont receive many friends. However profiles with energetic fun clear photos create massive amounts of intrest. The more fun and creative your photo the more intrest and friends you will receive.

A good way to add intrest to your picture is to add a caption, or querky saying to get noticed.

Also a nice clear portrait photo of you will work well too.

If you are selling a product or something the best strategy would be take a photo of you using the product (e.g. a fishing rod - show a picture of you dressed in angler gear and in a boat fishing)

There are lots of smart way to do this, but the creative stuff is left up to you.

Tennis Marketing

I was watching the the Australian open tennis today. Half way through I noticed something. Tennis and the game of tennis was particulaly the same as the marketing game as we market ourself on myspace.

you are a player and have competitors. You have a coach who is the one to help you when you need assistance. your main aim is to beat the competitors so that you get more money. The umpire is your scheduled time deciding on when and how you should market.

But it was like I had an eye opening moment. Just as i saw people in the crowd I noticed that in marketing these were like your ideal target market. They were yelling and screaming and chanting excited for what they watching. They were there totally absorbed by the tennis being playing and the atmosphere.

Your audience are everything your traffic and initially your buyers. With that being said the more targeted your audience the more you have them excited about you particual product the more chance you will have to make some good money. They will commit to buying. But the key there is to keep them in their excitment, daze them with your wording and offers. Make them think that they can not live another second unless they have your product!

you do this well enough and you will be sipping martini's in your new mansion faster than you can say "aloh ha!"

Building A Friends List On Myspace Fast!

When marketing on myspace it is important to gain as many friends as you can. And if your trying to build you friend list in the quickest time possible here are some tips :-

 -  Create two, three even four accounts and customize them for specific niches. You will get some good quick results and build some good, fast lists with this.

-  Add a picture of an attractive women on your profile. Yes ok! It’s a bit naughty but in today’s society geeky looking dudes are not in(no offense to you if this is you) this is appealing to the general population and will help you to get friends. A little bit deceitful I know, but it is really effective trust me. If in anyway you feel against this morally or personally I understand…so don’t do it. Remember I’m giving you options here.

- Do a joint venture with an existing member with a large group of friends. Approach them with a JV opportunity and ask them if they are interested. You’re really utilizing someone else’s list without having to do all the dirty work.

- You could create a theme-based profile. E.g. Say if you like the game half life, you could create your profile around this. Then watch your friend list explode.

Myspace Secrets - Quick tips for success on myspace

Here’s what one of my students micheal had to say about his marketing success on MySpace:

It’s easy to get overwhelmed with the sheer numbers on MySpace — and important to try to focus on marketing to the “right” group for your product or service — otherwise you’ll be spending a LOT of time on people who will never be interested in you.

But, on the other hand, when starting off, you need to get friends. It’s kind of a bragging right on MySpace. If you have too few friends, it’ll be tough to get the good ones — you know, the ones that will end up buying from you. So, before you go after those, get a few hundred “bad” friends — bands are the easiest. They’ll give you a respectable number on your friend list, and will leave comments on your page — giving a little realism boost to your profile – making friend adding of the “good” ones that much easier.

Where else could we find a place to actually build relationships with people — who may or may not have heard of us before. We spend time daily emailing people, and guess what, they email back. It becomes the ultimate soft-sell tool.

Patience. Without a huge brand presence, don’t expect to turn profits. The only investment is your time. As long as you regularly give people something interesting — blogs, music, and other tidbits that AREN’T related to your business — then you’ll develop enough trust for them to be interested in what you DO sell.

Keep it personal — talk with the people as if you’d email a new friend. Say hi, get to know them, and they’ll want to get to know you. If you try to sell, sell, sell, you’ll have a hard time earning respect on MySpace.

As far as layouts, there’s a few “schools of thought” — one says make it fancy and high end, but the other, and seemingly more successful one, says simplicity is best. Since people are browsing through so many profiles with the same layout, they look for certain features in certain places. If you move too many things around, you’ll frustrate your visitors and they’ll leave. Period. Just like a good e-commerce site.

Also, if there’s anything a “seasoned” MySpace user hates is a slow page; and the site has loads of slow loaders. You may get friends with a lot of stuff on your page, but they won’t actually spend the time to interact with you.
